Default HTML Code

Anybody know of a site out there that you can learn about HTML for free?

A list of line commands and what they do would be plenty of help.

And yes I do know about http://www.google.com
Doing that route also.

an easy way to learn is everytime you see something on a page that you don't know or like, copy the code out and save it. that way you will have examples of all the diffrent things that can be done.

Html is easy to learn. Go to a library and rent a decent book on it, and you'll have mastered it in a week.

That would take a long time comparing every little thing to what it actually does...

If you really are serious about learning HTML, look up XHTML or HTML 4.1 as there are now many changes, the most notable being CCS2. I tought myself HTML ages ago, and then just when i thought i'd perfected it, i was told that a newer implemenation of HTML had been released.

A sad story i know.
