Re: is there a way to find a games built in cd key...
it would be a huge file, if a game that is sold a million times includes all unique numbers.
Its an algorithm, that you can find after youve decrypted the game.

there must be a way to find it, it must have to check with something once you type in that cd key surely. other wise how does it know?

Re: is there a way to find a games built in cd key...
BSK just told you how most CD keys just work, why must you ask again? Was his simple explanation not simple enough?
It uses an algorithm to check validity of the key. If you can reverse engineer that algorithm, you can create a CD Key Generator.
For most online play, there is a database of valid CD Keys listed on the central game server.

The easiest way to get a valid CD key is buying the game You get tech support, manuals, proper music & sound & guff, and you can safely play on the net whenever you want. Just out of curiosity, what game is it?

Half Life has been around long enough that you should be able to get a legit copy off a friend or something for a few bucks.
