utils for migrating email
Over last 5yrs I have moved from PC to Linux and now to Mac OSX, in the process i've used various email programs Outlook, OutlookExpress (bleagh!) Eurdora, kmail and apple's mail app. At each step of the way I hit yet another (incompatible) format, so each time my old mail stays on my old system.
Now I want to consolidate all my historical mails into one place, but obviously the built-in import 'wizards' are all pants.
I have two questions: 1. do you know of any decent utils for extracting emails from Outlook (in it's myriad guises) and/or other apps? 2. are there mail apps that conform to open standards which mean i won't get in this mess again?
