Re: Whats the major Difference between NTSF and FAT32
NTFS is proprietary Microsoft shit, but it allows for very specific file security provisions. FAT32 is a generic file system without as many security features.
I consider FAT32 to be superior, because it's readable in Linux and because Windows security is officially an oxymoron.

Re: Whats the major Difference between NTSF and FAT32
another feature in NTFS is files compression and file incryption in fact files take least space in ntfs than in fat32 however u can only chose only compression or encryption not both
concerning security it's a part of win NT system so even with FAT32 system u can change scurity levels on groups/files/machines etc...... so it has nothing to do with file system

Re: Whats the major Difference between NTSF and FAT32
NTFS has persmissions built into it, FAT32 does not.
FAT32 is actually a pretty crappy file system, sorry Theta. FAT32 wastes a lot of disk space by forcing large cluster sizes. UNIX file systems are far superior in almost all aspects... but for the windows world, NTFS seems to be the best however, if you don't need security features and don't care about wasted disk space, FAT32 offers more compatibility.
A useless link from microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/en/core/fncc_fil_kqxr.htm
A much better link: http://safari.oreilly.com/main.asp?bookname=w2kperf&snode=64
Enjoy, Chibi my lover.
