i first learnt PHP about one year ago
and i used to program with it in a free web page if u wana know witch it's www.multimania.lycos.fr
they provide u with free domains php and mysql
well no prolem there i could use the most common php function
lately i installed easyphp includes by default php+appache web server+mysql dbms
all functions still works fine until i used the mail function
in fact i created a page with a form that passes variables to the mail function
but i get this when i submit my formWarning: Failed to Receive in
c:\program files\easyphp\www\mail2.php on line 2

the php code i use is note i don't use forms variables here i entrered just strings to test and still it didn't work)

well after further reading i discovered
that i must sepcify a smtp server
well i also tried programming PHP in unix
and there there is no problem since the php function mail executes the unix mail function
but since i installed easyphp in win2000
and after checking my outlook program
i discrovered that my smtp server adress is 10.100.16.1
and the same for pop3 adresse
according to various online tutorials
i must change manually the
easyphp.ini file and add
[mail function]
SMTP=10.100.1.16
well i did this and it's still not working
help plzzzzz
