Need Electronics Whiz to create for me
If you are a real electronics geek in photo-sensitive devices, light recognition, laser, etc. Please contact me... I have a need for something that would require a devious and somewhat unscrupulous person.. IF we can get something going, there "may" be a market for it (underground, of course)

Re: Need Electronics Whiz to create for me
Now... how can you be sure of that.! <grins> OK..In dragracing, the driver releases a delay countdown timer when the first yellow light comes on, in the sequence of 3 yellows and then the green to go,,,, the idea is to have a photosensitive device that will sense the first yellow light and begin the delay sequence countdown, eliminating the driver error (eye/hand reaction). I've created something crude, that works...somewhat, but a really clever and knowledgeable electronics person has forgotten more than I will ever know about this stuff and thought there is a better way (better mousetrap mentality)

Re: Need Electronics Whiz to create for me
yeah, i think thats called cheating.
it would be a challenge to get something that could pick up the change in light at that distance though. it would be too easy to fuck up anyway. if the sensor is aimed wrong, youd be sitting there like a moron.

Re: Need Electronics Whiz to create for me
OF COURSE it's called cheating..!! But it IS a challenge and that's what I want to do it for..... There guys from a nearby state that show up for the money races and go home with the sack.! Everyone knows they are cheating somehow, but we can't figure out how without tearing down their car, but you have to have "cause" to do that. I am NOT looking to make money by this..just be able to do it. I have a design for a photosensitive resistor and using a small plastic tube (about the size of a pen) mounted in the helmet with crosshairs(like a rifle scope) to aim the sensor..just haven't done it, cause I think there must be a techno-geek that has forgotten more than I will ever learn about this stuff and has a far better idea. OH WELL, perhaps it is a bad idea...no responses worth a shit... :-)

Re: Need Electronics Whiz to create for me
alright, a dude into draggin. and dont worry about cheating. anybody that knows 2 shits about street racing is that if u cheat and win, u deserved to win. its as much of a mental game than it is a race. i wouldnt reccomend going on the internet and asking this, but rather find some nerds where you live and offer them blowjobs (from girls, not you.....thats is, unless u want to) in exchange for help. asking people on the internet is not going to yield very much product...they dont feel like it is very important to help some dude they dont know.

Re: Need Electronics Whiz to create for me
Thats not true in all situations Override, I enjoy helping people with legitimate things like installing operating systems or understanding TCP/IP but when it comes to helping someone cheat, I dont really consider that legit.
You will get help on the net for things where a typed solution is good enough. Here, of course, the guy wants someone to build something for him and thats not gonna work.
