i got a old sony cd-rw drive model number CRX100E, i think thats the model number but i installed it in my computer and all it does is the cd tray would open after i close it and open and close and wont stop, help needed badly.....

yeah i think so, its read, right and record speed is like 2x4x6, and its year 1999, if i cant get it to work, i give up!!!,but ill just buy a new one at best buy or something

id say its a virus. run a scanner, and check.

check that its all connected and everything.

its the open button mega-depressed, or dirt on the connection. if your going to get a new one, just ope it up and see if its anything immediatly obvious.

does it use updatable firmware? if so then get the newest version. like they said open it up, you have nothing to lose

DAMN! That's fucken slow, defenitely forget it and get a new one, haha....how long does it take you to burn a full CD? Like 30 mins?

first of all i cant even get the damm think to work because once the cd tray is in, it doest stay in there long enough to read a god damm cd, fuckin cd burner, shit im gonna burn it, and i cant even find the driver for it, fuckin peice of shit...
