lol!! my friend just bought one of those silly imacs, ive been giving him shit since the day he brought it home. but then again, many of you would ridicule me for using windows, so its all a matter of personal preference. that page is still funny as hell.

a mac will out perform a windows computer any day of the week. One of my mate got one recently, hasnt crashed once (in 3 months)... Windows on the other hand (when i used to use it), crashed about twice a day.

macs cant out perform shit since the software written for them is crap and doesnt take atvantage of the PPC archetecture. macs really are useless unless your running OSX. by the way they are not that reliable and their performance in school networks is pathetic from my experience. a mac might be king in a benchmark but i have never seen one even come close to the perfomance to an equally priced windows pc.
i hate windows just as much as thenext guy but the truth is that windows is the most responsive OS around right now. as soon as you click something it responds, all mac gui's are slugish like gnome or kde is in linux.
half the time the macs i have been exposed to havent even worked. windows on i86 is a far superior platform than any mac OS on ppc. OSX is also extreemly useless, its a cool thing but how many mac users have even heard of unix let alone would actually use it. my guese is very few.
in conclusion macs are over priced, under powered, and unreliable. dont ever buy a mac

MacOS X is based off BSD, im pretty damn sure Mac OS 9 and below is not based on anything remotely unix.

you are correct cense. mac OS9 and below is shitty apple code and OSx is the shitty apple GUI on top of a BSD. its good in concept but somewhat pointless in my opinion. either way its doing good things for the unix world so rock on with OSX even tho it isnt the best distro.
