its nothing special just a basic gnome desktop with a little color editing in the consol and a new xmms skin. (its mandrake if you were wondering)

yes, its not so much a security issue as it is an anonimity issue. i know people who check these boards from time to time and i prefer to be unknow to them. some of my computer knowledge may frighten them (no joke the are odd) so its best just to stay a faceless name.

ohh and i give props for gnome. too much of this kde shit now. i have nothing agaist kde but its buggy and gnome is just flat out better. allthough gnome lacks some of the kde customization options i prefer to use it since its more stable on my system. im thinking of trying fluxbox, have you used it?

btw what nix distro are you using?

Windows 98SE. Desktop theme, "The End of Time", authored by yours truly. Available (with sounds, cursors, the whole bit) if you bug me for it.

I scaled things down to 640x480 so the picture wouldn't be huge. I normally run at 1600x1200. I left a (tiny) explorer window open down there to let you get a handle of my color scheme.

wow, im truely impressed. thats great customization for windows. iv never seen anything like that before

GNOME rules. KDE is shit. thats my opinion. What you saw running was Red Hat 7.2 on my laptop but im going to be installing debian 3.0 "woody" on my home box pretty soon. It is my prefered distribution.

And yes, thats not bad for windows zero.

use reshacker to extract the bitmaps from aim. just change them how you want and reinsert them into the progrem with reshacker. it shouldnt be too hard to find but if you have trouble email me. its only like a meg so i can send it to you.

"Memories of Green" and "Blue Raster Delta", respectively. Both are works in progress (I'm on the sounds now), but include backgrounds, icons, colors, and mouse cursors.

Sensing a pattern, here? I'm working on a red variation of the above, and after that I'll be branching out a bit.

Windows XP is athestically the worst thing that has ever happened to the world of personal computing. Blue and orange? Please. You can't even change the colors under the new "Luna" interface, either.

I have it set to windows classic, but it's still nasty..

Winters right.. Classic is still an option. I just made my own desktop photo using 3dsmax. One thing i notices about most of you is your main color scheme is Black. what does that tell you about a person

Could tell you a lot of things, for example that they do a lot of graphics work.

Any other color balance other than white, black or shades of grey throws off your perception of the colors around it.
