If officials are tapping your phone, they r only allowed listen to conversations of relevance ie, whatever they seem to think you are doing. If you are having a chat with a friend, they will switch off..you will hear a very low double click...and every approx 45 seconds you will hear it again....it sounds very like the double click of a mouse...

What I am hearing is,when(I)call someone,it rings 2-3 times then it sounds like it is answered by the other party(a pause in the ring with an open-"airy"sound),then the ringing continues. When they camm me,It'll ring and ring on their end,and not here-on my end.-(sometimes)!I'm not up to anything?!?!,I just have a shadey past as well as shadey friends. Thanks for your imput.Maby poor phone connections?

when youve finished a conversation, don't put the reciver down, just press the button with you finger. hold it down and if you hear clicks and noises (the machine stopping recording) then your probably tapped. it may not be you their investigating (assuming your tapped), maybe one of your friends is up to something or something.

Umm Didn't we have this discussion a week ago in Conspiracy forum?

Dude.. communicate with yoru friends via the internet the. or get a cordless phone with spread spectrum. or get a cell phone. its very hard to monitor someone on a cell phone since it scrambles the line as well as has about 50,000 frequencies it uses eacht ime you pick up the phone the channel freq changes.

actually trog>>> it would be hard for me or you to listen to them on those types of phones. if a lawenforcement agency wants to bug you then they will do so at ease. they have shit that will easily follow the conversations.

plus a cordless phone doesnt really matter because they tap the lines not the actuall phone.

us male>>> wasnt your name a song? listen to this. are you in the us. if so they have to have probablee cause to have your phone tapped. if your not saying anything then dont worry. or just have fun and call your friends and say shit like " yeah i got the body in my trunk" or " the purple duck flies at midnight" just to fuck with them. < picture the fbi agents-- whatever it is its going down at midnight>

lol

but anyway. unless your being tapped by someone with shitty equipment, you wont know it. many of the devices used now adays by law enforcement wont be heard "clicking" or anything like that.

this is a very serious issue in my case and i did a lot of research on the matter and spoke with several professionals about the matter. and basically the only way your going to be absolutely bug free is to have a pro sweep your house periodically. it costs me about 2400 dollars every two months to have it done, but you cannot trust the equipment they sel online.

The question,in part, goes unansered.I can listen to my neighbors, with an ordinary scanner,it will even pick up wires worn by the uninvited. So,if i can obtain this sort of technoligy, imagine what the goverment,and/or DEA can do.so the cell, phone & cordless are out!
Also,I was thinking with all the technoligy out,it seems to me that the same phone i talk on is the same i go on line with, trhat just maby this machine could somehow tell me if someone is trying to listen in on me.As for the propable cause bit, they could say my fart smelled like meth and that wAS their prop. cause...........Thanks,Scott

THATS WHAT I WAS SAYING. I DID ANSWER YOU. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW 100% FOR SURE THEN YOU HAVE TO HIRE PROFESSIONALS. NOT PRO'S THAT HAVE THEIR OWN BUSINESS BUT PRO'S WHO WENT TO SCHOOL FOR THAT KIND OF SHIT. IT IS EXPENSIVE. AND IF YOUR NOT NEEDING TALK ABOUT BUSINESS ON THE PHONE THEN DONT WORRY ABOUT IT. DONT SAY ANYTHING BAD. OR JUST FUCK WITH THEM LIKE I SAID.

There's this neat little device that one can make which moniters if anyone is on your line. Fones require voltage, and each time an extension is picked up, the voltage drops. This device basically moniters the voltage of your line. I think you can buy one at Radio Shack, or if you're handy with a soldering gun you can build one with intructions from the internet. If it's an amateur job, then you should be able to tell. Professionals have ways around that. It sounds to me like you just have a crossed wire and getting a little bit of an echo.

Ah, fone taps.

I have one thing to say about this subject.
If any government official is tapping your fone, you cant tell. Its all pretty simple.

When the gov taps fones, it does so at a CO. That means they can record directly off the lines without any voltage change or clicks.

And as far as cell fones go, the gov can just
tap your call at the cell fone CO's, if you will.

They just "get a lock" on your fones ID that is sent before every call and trunk track it, for lack of better wording.

Now i sound like a conspiracy agent. AHG, im not, im just some moron with thought about technophilia. hehe

Its very possible to have an encrypted phone conversation, both physically and over IP. I've only seen it over IP but code is a lot easier for someone to play with than circuits. You can actually encrypt conversations with Aol Instant messenger on Macs; theres an extension and a control panel that you give an encryption key to and it encrypts everything that feeds into your microphone. At the same time it decrypts all sound output. Its as buggy as nothing else but pretty cool all the same and I wouldn't be surprised if they had it on PCs too.

they have taps that leech power from your line. they have kinds that operate on batteries. they have hundreds of types

the only way to be sure is to have it done professionally. the devices that they sell on the internet are fake

What if I keep picking up on other conversations continually. I would be talking on the phone and then I'm in someone elses conversation but they can't hear anything I say, even though it sounds like I can, what is with that? This is happening on both my cordless and my cord phone..

He said it happens on his normal fone too. Read the whole post before you flame him.

You probably just have a crossed wire somewhere, you could call your local telco and ask...

If you know your being tapped and investigated, give the police a false reason to bust your door down. Like an anonymous tip. Then empty your home of all that is incriminating, AND cease phone communications. They will never get another warrant on you again. hahahaha
