Default Lord of the Rings and Zelda

Whoever wrote the Zelda storyline adn did the graphics for the N64 game was definely basing it on the lord of the rings.

1. The whole mideval setting
2. The fire demon the game and the movie are very much alike.
3. Sauron and Gannondorf are basically the same
4. Al the dffrent creatures/races
5. The feeling in my gut

Anyoen have any more similarities or reasons why I am completely wrong??

Maybe they based the game off of Norse Mythology.

*wonders if anyone will get that*

I found that the Harry Potter books reminded me of LOTR. Those black death guys in Harry Potter reminded me of the black death guys in LOTR. (Damn, I'm sorry I am bad at remembering specific names of stuff. Somebody fill in their correct names for me). As for Zelda, the similarites you are taking seem to be very general, and could be applied to most things.

The "black death things" are.

Harry Potter - Dementors
Lord Of The Rings - Ring Wraiths

Lord of the Rings is an almost generic fantasy book. Dwarves, elves, etc. fighting the bad guy. The general plot line isn't so spectacular. Harry Potter and Zelda, and so many other popular fantasy titles, are the same way. They take a generic idea and add some intricacies to make it their own. That's why they are so good. Because they take a time tested idea and flesh it out.

Templeton... I think I know what you mean, but I 'm not sure.
