I have noticed that everyone from punks to jocks, mexicans, Blacks white,Goth,geek,all like the Simpsons. I personally like the Simpsons. There must be subliminal messages or something ,does it relate to all these people? Whatever.

true. a lot of people watch the simpsons. it's a funny show.

The Simpsons could well easily be put in the dictionary as a explanation of life. Its so true and it provokes emotions to say out loud "god the truth and its funny". I love the show so much theres never a bad time to watch the Simpsons.

Ditto Renegade, and they really exploit the cartoon media well. It also has a certain flow to it, that is ruined by commercials.

They also do a good job incorporating elements of different generations. My mom thinks a lot of jokes about like the 70's and stuff are funny, while I tend to get the more recent stuff.

So has anyone else figured out what state they live in?

naw not IL im pretty sure its springfield Virginia. i know its on the atlantic coast because in episodes where they saled to cuba and new york on boats. in one of the episodes when marge says " but youde have to go south of the boarder for that" homer replies " you mean tennesee??" and the only state directly above tennesee that is on the atlantic coast is Virginia.

The reasons that everyone likes the simpsons is because they are not white or brown. They are yellow so there is no conflict. By the way, may I inform you that the Simpsons are based on a town just south of Boston. (which is not called springfield) I know someone who was told this by a marketing guy who's job is to develop the show. It is meant to be a ficticious town in a ficticious state. There you go!!! you heard it here straight from the horses mouth.
