Default Find movies filmed near you

I found this cool site. Its geared more for San Francisco area but it has areas related to the rest of the country. My hometown of Alameda is becoming a miniture Hollywood with its new Manex Film Studio located on the old Naval Air Station. Lots of movies like matrix and flubber and Bicentenial Man are filmed or in part filmed there.

Anyways here

I got a part cut in "The Principle" with Jim Balushi.

I got paid 50 dollars anyways.

Then when I was in Santa Cruz i was asked to move out of the way of filming. but was told if I decided to stay in the film i wouldnt be payed. It was called "Saving Amy" or some made for TV movie about a kid who was kidnap.

I have seen many films made in the bay area. I have to be honest now. The novelty of it has warn off. Cheech marin and Don Johnson have pissed a lot of people off in the city. People cant enter their own houses during shootings. The police actually stop people until filming is done. And that can take 20 minutes between takes.

Its like they are royalty in california.
