Default One shitty movie.

anyone seen The Art of War??

that was the crappiest movie i have ever seen. its even worse than scrambled foriegn music video channels!! The one thing that i can't stand about movies is that they take something intelligent and warp it into something completely not. i happen to have read the book: The Art of War, by Sun Tzu. It goes over tactics and much about the strategies of war. it stresses "knowing your enemy and knowing yourself." what i don't understand is that there was only ONE instance in the movie where any sort of reference was made to this book. i came to this movie expecting an intelligent manifestation of how such tatics could be used in modern times. instead, it was an American vs. the Chineese flick. all the film manifests is the director's love of blood splatters on glass, and the shape of the female chest. dear god! mixed with a dull plot and obnoxious actors, this was one bad movie.
The female "bad guy" looked like my highschool music teacher without her afro. The male "bad guy" had a striking resembalance to Sting (the singer, not the wrestler). And a Chineese aristocrat was played the same actor who did Shang Tsung in mortal kombat. I just couldn't take this movie seriously. Sting and Ms. Hurwitz join forces to battle the Chineese backed by Shang Tsung. The special effects were crappy as well. in one explosion, the detonation wire could be seen. quite easily might i add (it is hanging on the window of the restaraunt scene after the chinese guy dropped an explosive backpack). the breakaway glass seemed to explode into geometrically perfect cubes and spheres. that is called ice and marbles!! the villain dies on a piece of broken glass in his throat. he falls on it. that is the gayest thing. they rip the bullet effects straight from the matrix and slap them into this poor excuse for a movie. what was worse, i was watching it with my girlfriend and her folks.

i thought that, but then i said, what the hell, i'll keep an open mind.

you know how Enemy of the State (a GREAT movie, i think anyway) used the inherent technology to give the story an extra kick? this movie required technological gagets to cover up a shitty plot line. the only suspense in this movie was wondering what the hell that little beeping cell phone look-alike gaget was for. if you are aching for a Wesly snipes movie, go see Blade.

a better title would have been:
1. the art of snore
2. tits and gore
3. susan
4. Shang Tsung vs. Sting and Ms. Hurwitz

I liked it for reason number two if I want something intelligent I'll read a book, Tits and gore are two of the main reasons I watch movies.

I read the art of war too, Sun Tzu, but some other guy wrote it or something. Ya, to be completely honest, I learned more about war by playing the Suikoden games.
