Its part tradition. Ever since we became a coutnry, the only person who could be president was a poerful (military leader), rich (Plantation owner), white male becuz blacks were slaves and females had no rights. Ever since then, the white male has been the most poerful and we still have racists and anti-feminists, thus making one of these people elected very hard to do.
