Default Nukes

Is this thing about warehousing the nukes just an excuse to hide them from the public AND the military, so someone can get them for themselves. And if so, WHO?

I dont think that nukes are going to become available for purchase but it will certainly be simpler to steal one out of an army building in comparison with a nuclear silo.

Dont worry about losing nuclear power; there will still be enough nukes in the silos to kill the devil and his family. Plus the nukes being stockpiled can be back in the silos in less than a week if necessary.

Ps. I hope all the nuclear powers program India and Pakistan into their nukes and fire the fuckers if either of them so much as twitches with the idea of using there own.

But are the nukes even going to the storage facilities their supposed to in the first place? What if bush wants his own private nukes? The storage facilities these nukes are going to could be owned/operated by people that want the nukes for themselves...

Yes.

The obvious answer to storing nukes was contained in the first sentence of the topic leader...to keep them away from the public. First off, there's a radiation danger,...they are not totally shielded. Second, all you need is some joe-sixpack from catching a case of stupid and deciding to take one home.

Nox, i don't know if it would be that easy with the army or the air force, but The navy storage sites that i have guarded is tight. and your average sailor or civilian's person is searched. along with the car, and before you enter you have to have your private vehicle's radio removed. While I am a firm believer in the saying nothing is impossible, Joe six-pack getting into there is a nasty chore

who thinks that getting 2000k nukes armed up to impress the U.S.S.R. was actualy a very good idia, now that they got so many they have shaky fingers and wanna use some. or discard them in some old storage facilety or digging them in 200 meters underground. they made them, now they are pissing them off,(dont know what to do with them) wouldnt it be just enough to launch a dozen of nukes to cause a world war against the USA? How bright was it for the USSR governement to build so many weapons while thier own people were dieng to starvation. The usa would have not dared to even bomb a russian ( USSR ) city. all this brings me to the conclusion that the amount of nuclear weapons this world has is gonna have very bad concequences on many aspects. { im sorry if i made far to many misakes, im kinda "elevated" }

Joe,

You're right. I was just referring to why security was so tight. The opening post was questioning whether the storage were keeping secrets...they are, but it's not a conspiracy...as we both know, it's security.

:O) Sorry for my paranoia NOX :O) The Reason the USSR bulit nukes was because the US had them first. They were defending themselves because they thought we would use them. Remember that then they were just starting out with Ballistic missiles, Cruise Missiles. and they had to make an Exact Copy of our B-29 bomber, which couldn't strike the Mainland US then. And They are reducing the amount of nukes Russia and the US can have operational. They just signed the treaty for it. we'll just have to wiat and see if it will work
