biggest conspiraty of all
You wonder, what is it? its the education system! not all of it but the principle of it. here goes: One should have a good education to have a good job rigth? so without a proper education you cant have a good job, i think thats fair, but on the other hand i think its shit because some people are more qualified than other for some jobs but cant take them becuz the failed other subjects. why does one have to go to skool for more than 15 years if one could learn how to work for a specified job in less then 3 years. OKay, you may tell me : so people can have more knowledge and culture. If someone wants their knowledge filed to be greater they should go to a private skool, but all kids should not be forced to go to skool in order to get a decent job, i know people who never finished their 7 th grade and cant get a job only because some kid who is no smarter than a monkey got his high skool diploma... where's the conspiraty? its here: one gets a job if he got an edducation, not if he has the skills... the more a person studys the better they can do in life? thats bullshit.

Re: biggest conspiraty of all
Hahaha that's just life and the job market. Espically if you're looking for something that you can call a carier instead of just a job to get you by.
It's better to be over educated and under skilled. When I think of skilled labor automobile matientance, tv & vcr repair, greenskeeper comes to mind lol.
Then again there are a lot of people that don't know what to do once they gotten out of college and obtained their bachelors and end up at a dead end job. However they were braindead long before they obtained their credentials.
So stick with it and get your degrees. You'll be better off in the long run.

School isn't a conspiracy, to you it is as I see it is more of a chour in a status symbol way. It takes about 16-18 years of your life away, but at the same time teachs you what the job world needs to be done and they call it a "life" if you will. What you don't understand everything has rules some are written in small print and some even say we have the right to free speech, but thats just me.

I think that schools should start to teach us the life skills we need, rather than just the basic skills of writing and arithmatic. The country would be better off if our students left school with the knowlege they need to get a high paying job, and skills to manage there money. In another point of view: if everyone had high paying jobs and well developed life skills there would be no-one to run the gas stations and fast food joints....

Actually, quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by Joe Boo: Kinggenrage Once you graduate HS, get go into college (assuming you can) then you'll see how wrong you are --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One, you spelled his name wrong. Two, you forgot the comma after his name. Three, you capitalized "Once", which shouldn't be capitalized. Four, "get go", should be, "go get". Five, you forgot a period.
Kingenrage, their is a conspiracy with and in the educational system, but you're only looking at one aspect of it and that one could be considered less important. Maybe not even a conspiracy.

The purpose of school is simple -- to teach endurance. You go to school every day, learn very little, get bored to death, and somehow manage to suffer through. Work is very similar: you go every day, excercise your intellect very little, and so on. It's a skill that you learn... the hard and extremely dull way. They're trying to help you to get a successful, well paid, extremely, mind-numbingly boring job!

School doesn't teach you very much in terms of knowledge or intelligence, but it has much to offer in other aspects. I agree with CuriousMonkey who said that there's much more conspiracy inside the educational system that you people missed.

You pose a very good question. My answer to this at this time is I don't know. I think to deny someone the 11 years of life interaction with so many different kinds of people and experiences could certainly be damaging unless their is found another way to acheive AS MUCH interaction that takes place while one is going to school,(not necessarily in it). I think the special training is kind of neat idea, something like a technical school, but more of a work/study program that allows you to go into or stay with a company that you learn with.

School isn't a conspiracy. Education is instituted ultimately as assurance to your future employer that you're competent to do the job,to increase your knowledge of many important subjects and foundate a firm intilectual base that you will utilize in the future both at work and in life. Sure, school may be a pain in the ass, but I'm thankful for my education. But I hate some subjects that I have just surpassed what's taught at my high school, such as english and global history... I'm only interested in math, science , computer courses, and engineering now. Thats really all you need to get a great job in the age of information.

so, when would you choose what you want to study for three years? people in their 30's do not know what they want to do, i doubt someone young could decide the rest of their lives. education is about creating opportunities, not training you for a job for you to waste your life doing.

there iz no conspiracy in the educational system. people (especially employerz) want you to prove whut you hav learnt and whut skillz you hav, and they'v found that the best form of proof iz certificatez/diplomaz.
however, if there waz to be some sort of conspiracy where else better to start brainwashing and/or misleading people than when they'r 5 or 6 yearz old (children will believe anything :P).

Most of us in the United States spend at least 13 years in school before moving on to college. The exception would be those who drop out before achieving a diploma. I, personally, am in possession of an insatiable thirst for knowledge and information. I did not go to school simply to learn how to do a particular job. I went to school to learn all that I could from the limited resources provided by the American education system. Amazingly enough, I came out of it with a vast wealth of information. Much of the information I acquired in public schools had to do with the ever so subtle side curriculum involved outside of the textbooks and classrooms. I see nothing wrong with people who would prefer a 3 year "apprenticeship" school. I do however hope you are damn certain about your "career choice" when you decide what to learn. Additionally, aside from the technical aspect of your craft/skill/trade, there are a wealth of subjective skills that cannot be taught easily in such a scenario. Overall, the longer-term, broad base education is a better idea for the general population.

This is why broad based education is more important then vocational.
