I read that the americans own a large amount of land in australia which they use as a missile base. It also stated that because of the huge publicity surrounding area 51 that they had moved a substantial amount of their stuff over there.

Is there any truth to this?

I did a little research into this and didn't turn up anything. Is it actually called Area 45, or did you make that up?

The 45 is a reference to something, official military designation maybe, maybe not. I'd really like to know.

Finally! Someone posted something I can relate to! In answer to your question, it is not called Area45. The secret base in question is actually a U.S Government owned sattelite tracking station called Pine Gap. It is located at Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territory. Officially it is known as the Joint Defense Space Research Facility and was built in 1968.

The above information came from an article in UFO UNIVERSE's SPECIAL ISSUE-CONSPIRACIES AND COVERUPS entitled "Suicide or Murder?
