Default Gasoline

A friend told me gas is $1.81 in Bishop, CA (lower Sierras) and gas is $2.10 here in Southern Cal, and the refinery is down here.

You'd think the farther from the spicket, the more expensive the gas would be...

If you really would like to know, i can tell you why gasoline prices are so high, it intwines with all the unexplainable things.
First of all you have to understand the fact that timetravel has been reached in the near future. Basicaly i belive that either germans and/or americans achieve this, and send a few people back to the middle of world war 2. It took them a few tries (hence seeing an abnormaly large sightings unidentified flying objects just after and before the war. It has and was acheieved but they couldnt leeak this to the public so a fairy tale about other life in the universe was introduced. The world powers were aware of the fact that petrol prices pay a significant role in todays (and the futures) economy and that a new fuel source that has been and was been discoveverd to reach his huge speeds to travel back in time would completely send the world into economic calapse.

Petrol prices are high at the moment so that the governments can squeeze all the money possible from todays taxpayers and communities before this brand new powerful fuel is introduced. I may have a few of the parts a little of target but it goes something along those lines.

Yeah, but something I don't understand is this...This giant study concluded that we've used 50% of Earth's oil. But we're still making cars the same old way, still burnin the gas, etc, whatare we going to do? Wait until the last minute to come up for any solution?

Instead of all these giant gas corporation buying up the patents for new technologies, they should work to make them a reality in a package that people would be willing to buy, style and price wise.

Are you sure it was 50% "of the worlds oil"? I read something similar but it said, like 50% of the worlds easily accessible oil. Now that they have drained the oil from most places on land that are easily accessible, they have to find oil at sea, in inaccessible mountainous areas, ..and in environmentally protected parks!

I dunno, I think we may both be right, but I heard that 50% of Earth's oil whether easily accessible or not is GONE.

I bet they are developing new technologies.
First use up all the fuel, then introduce new technologies at undgodly prices. People will have no choice.

I heard at one time there was a car capable of over 100mpg, the engine produced very little waste heat, so little in fact it didn't have a radiator. I'd like to know what happened to that. The man was prolly killed.

on a recent version of pop-up video, one balloon said that the world's gas supply would run out in 2070. what then? Honda already has that new hybred car. pretty soon the government's just got to give in and let people build cars that will be cheap to drive.

Lokil. I thought about that some years back. Same thing in the Bay Area. we have like 6 major Oil Refineries and yet gas here is 2.39 for premium in some places whre if you go to modesto or fresno its like 1.89 for premium. makes now fucking sense since they have to truck the shit all the way down there. it has to be price gouging.

You know, some guys made an engine that runs on old cooking grease. www.greasecar.com. Why the hell can't GM, Nissan and the rest build cars like that? With all the burgers people stuff in their mouths they would also fuel be creating the fuel for their damn car. I wish I knew all about how a car works. I'd make one that ran on piss. Sure, it wouldn't be a pretty site in the morning in Suburbia, what with all the guys outside in the early morning with their dicks in the tanks of their SUVs, but what the hell. That's a renewable resource. The area I grew up in most people pissed outside in the front yard anyway. Yeehaw.
