Exploiting Payphones and Vending Machines
Just thinking..you know how there's a coin return in payphones and vending machines?
What if I was to stuff some kind of cloth or something into the coin return? Would it hold back the coins long enough to get some money?

Re: Exploiting Payphones and Vending Machines
Been discussed many times before... I'm too lazy to dig up some threads. I was planning on doing it, but how many coins can that coin "chute" hold before jamming? That's why I need to find a cross-section of a vending machine. I posted a thread asking for one, but it got locked. *sigh*. Searching for hours on google with many different requests didn't work either. This seems like a decent way to make a couple bucks if you pass by that machine every so often, and doesn't involve any skill *at all*.

Re: Exploiting Payphones and Vending Machines
old trick, u should try bubble gum or super glue. or if u live in a place that gets realy cold at night take a bunch of duct tape and duct tape up the coin slot real good. then pour water in there and let it freeze over night. it will crack the thing open like an egg shell.

Re: Exploiting Payphones and Vending Machines
I have done this with some clay. This is harder in the U.S. due to small values on coins. There, your best bet is something that takes dollar bills, for an item that costs 1:25 to 1:75. In Canada the same thing applies due to the 1 and 2 dollar coins. I've also used a peice of paper, 2 feet of masking tape, and my best yet, a peice of chiken wire i cut for the job, held up with little wads of clay, and tied fishing line to it to pull it down fast. I used a peice of tape to keep the fishing line out of the way. I made $8 that day, and in my er... career of using the vending machine at my school make about 100 a year, combined with about 200 in assignments done for people, and sometimes people will even pay me to superglue a locker or get a combonation for it

Re: Exploiting Payphones and Vending Machines
I am planning on doing that myself to but i had run into some problems at a machine near me.
The hole where your change falls in was quitte big so it wouldn't jam up, BUT when you put your fingers in to grab your change you push a piece of metal up.
So when you put you fingers in to get the change you cant put anything up the change return slot, becouse it is blocked by that metal piece.

Re: Exploiting Payphones and Vending Machines
Instead of doing this for small change why not...
Construct a sheet metal box and spray it black, then glue the box over the note dispensor trap on an ATM. If it is made well and doesnt look dodgy most people dont even notice it. After the person has made their withdrawal and realises they got no money they go off to ring the bank and you go knock the box off with a hammer.
I know its a lame trick but alot of oldies fall for it and it can net a few hundred dollars for a few minutes work!
