This has long been rumored to be an interesting combination, but since it was too good to be true and I hadn't seen any proven accounts I regarded it as false until some online news sites reported about being a popular way to break into vehicles. I also can't seem to find any files on totse about this.

What's the best way to get these en masse, how exactly does it work, and how effective is it against various types of glass? Just throwing them and having some kinda of quiet instant shatter effect seems way too easy. Input?

seems to me that any time you throw anything at a car window and the window breaks, its gonna make a racket. Maybe the ceramic crap itselft wont make the noise but the windows still will. The best way to do it would be to just get a slim jim, or to get some kinda glass cutter (expensive?)

i've only broken into cars a few times, it wasn't easy, but not hard...cause one time the lady left her window open a little bit and we(me and 2 friends) took like 200$ from her car! it was great! u dont gotta believe me, but i sure got alot of money after that! But i sorta preder just breaking the windows and running, just to be a prick, heh....

Get one of those spring loaded center punches and hold it against the window and push until it pops. Voila. your in.

This does work, if your talking about the same method i have used, u smash the white ceramic bit from around the outside of a spark plug, and throw this at glass, it can be bus shelters, phone boxes, windows, car windows etc. I have done this many times and it has worked.

No exactly like slick said. Spring loaded center punches are by far the quietest way! Get them from a hardware store! End of story.

ive done this a longgggggggggggg time ago, you have to throw the spark plug chippings really fast in order for it to work, for me about 1 out 0f 6 worked. i did this in my yard with a sling shot and broke some glass bottles. i guess the speed and air plays a part

So let me get this stright...

* You break off the ceramic part of a spark plug

* throw it as hard as you can, or use a sling shot, at a car window

and its meant to be the quietest...does the glass leave a hole in the window like a bullet hole? or explode like a rock does...

Ive seen a ball bearing go through the glass of a public telephone booth, its an amazing sight to see!!!!

it gos stright through, no nose AT ALL, theres a tiny hole where the ball went through and all the glass is shattered in nice little peices but still manages to stay together. just a little tap....and it all comes crashing down!!!

For some reason ball marbles are shithouse, even little ones, they just hit the glass and make a loud *SPLAK* noise...and thats it, dosent even break...

All you do is push it against the window, it is the quietest and easyiest way to break the window. Road rescue units use this tool to gain access to vehicles with casualties inside as it is so fucking quiet, quick and simple. It works so much better than those emergency glass breakage hammers on public busses etc.
GET A FUCKING SPRING LOADED CENTER PUNCH!

Tape the window with duct tape before you use the spring punch. This will reduce the noise made when the window shatters. Avoid leaving prints unless you like hiding from cops.

if your in high school, go to the small engines class. There will be a shitload of useless sparkplugs everywhere. Steal the white parts, and throw them at windows. It really works George.

well it depends, some car windows have Tempered glass--which means it shatters less, your better off with a spring loaded punch or just a plain bb handgun with a homemade silencer. or if your looking to take out windows for the hell of it, i think you can just use a glass cutter and a rubber hammer to hit out the glass, if done right you can get perfect sqaures, or circles
