its quite simple. get a dictionary, and figure out what a pimp is and what a pimp does. second, do that.

the folks at dictionary.com define the word pimp as:

One who finds customers for a prostitute; a procurer

Knowing this, we can come to the conclusion that to be a pimp you would need to find customers for a prostitute.
