About a year ago, i was arrested for 6th degree arson. When i got taken in, they took my bookbag with a cd player, 2 cds, and my fight club book. The cops took it, and said that i couldn`t get it back until i compeleted my couuminty service and "fire safety classes"

Its a year later, and i finished both of those, and my father had a meeting with the police captain and the internal affairs officer (our police were in trouble because an officer stole 10,000 dollars from a drug lord, and we have been calling them for about 6 months) my father spoke with them, and they said theres no record of the bag, and theyve searched all of their evidence lockers, but... the lighters and matches they took from inside my bag, they have. these fucking pricks deserve to pay, should we call a lawyer and sue, or can you think of any other methods.

First of all, the police may not take without your consent anything on your person that is not directly illegal or involved in the crime at hand unless you are being confined (they put you in a jail cell), and then they are to return your personal effects as soon as you are released.

Your items were thusly stolen from you, and you should approch this problem accordingly. Get the name and badge number of the officer that took your thinks (likely the one that booked you, which will be noted on the record of the event) and nail him for theft.

The bit about not getting your stuff back until you finish your community service is bullshit. They made that up so they could keep your CD player.

Unforunately, this shit happens all the time. I know someone who lost a very nice (and perfectly legal) airgun this way, and someone else whose wallet was 'confiscated' by the police and mysteriously returned sans bank account card, credit cars, and cash.

I had six weeks worth of fire safety classes, one every saturday for 6 weeks mean 6 classes and it didn't help I'm still the pyromaniac I was.

I have never heard of 6th degree arson. I have thought about this for some time and I cannot figure out what it is.

Ok, in my state, 6th degree arson is burning a medium sized area of brush/trees.

The search results i got were pretty shitty, this was the best response, and its massachusetts law, so it might be a little diffrent from yours

1st- Burning a Dwelling
2nd- Burning a Building
3rd- Burning Personal Property over $25.00 or a Vehicle
4th-Burning with intent to Defraud an Insurer
5th-Burning a Wooded Area with injuring Standing Timber or Wood
6th-Burning a Wooded Area

Ill try to find better defintions, but this is all i have for now

Seeing as most police are fat middle-aged men, I don't see why anyone would want to "fuck the police". I just don't want them to know who I am, what I do, where I live, etc.

They should have given you a reciept for the articles they retained in thier possesion; do you have it , if they gave you one?

i got arrested one time and i "accidentily" cut my foot on the bottom of the door and i was getting into the back of the car. luckily for me, it got infected and since it happened in their custody, it was legally their fault. by raising hell i got the chsrges dropped and a $3000 settlement.

the police are gay, my friend down then street got arsen just because he opend his fireds garage and took about 1/8th of u cup of gas and lit a patch of about 1 ft by 1ft of his lawn on fire and they called it 6th degree arsen they are just faggot bastards that have nothing better to do than piss us off.
