Default Magic Bag

Me and my friends have used the magic bag frequently, and have gotten some good items, but we made it look like a bag your wear around your shoulder, any tips of how else i could use it, or the best methods of putting in your clothes?

One good method is to take a cereal box and take out the bag....poor out most the cereal and cut the bag down to a real small size next line the inside of the box with foil and set the ceral bag near the top of the box(inside) then you can casually walk into the store, pretend youre eating the cereal and when you wish lift up the bag and slip in the d v d then put the cereal bag back on top and walk out

wait a minute.... do u need to cover the top of the bag with foil?? I mean the place where u put stuff in, do u need to cover the opening with foil after u put the stuff in?

Yes you do need to cover the top of the bag in tin foil, think of it as an envelope, the flap you make at the top must overlap the bag somewhat.

Ok, a "Magic Bag" is a bag made of several layer of tin foil and duct tape, with a flap over the top (also made of tin foil and duct tape). The purpose of this bag, is that when you put something in it that has a magnetic security strip (a c.d. a dvd, anything like that) it won`t set off the sensors when you walk out the door.

Here is my explanation.

The magic bag acts as a reflector. Sort of like a mirror. Here is an example. Get a laser pointer and aim it in your mirror. It just bounces the beam back at you. The magic bag does the same thing in theory. The aluminum makes a shine that bounces the beam from the sensors back away. This however can backfire. If it sends the light directly back into the sensor it will go off. The two beams will cross paths making an alarm sound. You have to be extremely careful in the making of this bag. I suggest using about 15+ layers and dont skimp around the corners.

I don't know a whole lot about anti-theft devices, but I do know something about physics, and I'm pretty sure that explanation is wrong. I think the "magic bag" works on the principles of magnetic shielding, not reflection.

Why do you put so many layers? When i make them, i put 3 layers at most.

And, theres a way to test it, you make the bag, and put a cellphone in it and call it. If the phone doesn`t ring, it means it works.

I made one today, 16 layers just made some really big footballs out of foil tape them together overlapping and i sewwed it into a black cloths and it looks lick one of those no fold wallets that keep your money flat.

Well, that is my explanation. I myself take physics but it was just a high school course. It was just my theory on how it may work.

The foil absorbs the EM from the sesors before the tag can. Simple as that.

Ok theres a problem with your magic bag idea for one tin foal is a conductor. have u ever attached a 9 volt bater to a peace of tin foil using roach clip jumper cabels?? u get a shock if you touch the metal, now all the tin foil will do is inhanser the magnetic polarity causing the alarm to sound more easily. But with line of site detectors like some guy said it will just bouince of the sides like a mirror just bouncing inside the bag and not out, it would only take 3 layers like some one else said. and the idea for the cell phone works well i tried it and got no signal. So yeh thats my advice

also to conclude my comment iff you were to magnitize the the tin foil bag by putting electrisity through it it should disable the sensor when an item is put into it. But also if you put the wrong magnetic power through it it will make the singnal even stronger its like walking through a alarm system with a positive magnet it will not go off if the sensors run on negitive energy but in visa versa it will if its positive just trey it out

it sorta works like EMP shielding, it only has to be mm thin, but any gaps ruins it

the "magic bag" thing sounds like alot of work for just a couple of cd's that u can take. What about the Security Camera's that can spot your face and then after acouple of times doing this your won't beable to do this with out having the police (not rent-a-cops) waiting for you as you try to make a dash for it.

Yes and to continue on with what the person that mentioned emp waves, duck tape dosent fix all. Also using another persons idea with the laser pointer, say a black cloth sac with a highly reflective metal inside such as tin foil or mabey that shiny shit uhhhh whats it called i cant rember but they put it in like lunch things to keep the cold in. That may work 2 because with the black outer casing the silvery metal wont catch peoples eyes and any light such as emp rays would be absorbed by the blackness of the sace, and the insid the lazer would bounce of the site never escapeing this would also make it more durable, We need bottomless sacs, lol just shove a 19 inch tv in your pocket and wlak out with out neone noticing

Thats why, you avoid the cameras, and in the places we take from, there are no cameras
