8 parts Fe2O3 (Ferric Oxide)
3 parts Al (Aluminum)
both need to be VERY fine... when mixed u shouldn't be able to see any silvery-color... the only color you're supposed to see is of the Ferric Oxide, which is dark red.
to ignite you use either a magnesium strip, which can be lit with either a torch (even mini-torch) or stovetop. or even better, u can use a flash powder that contains magnesium. because magnesium is pretty much the only thing that has a good flash point and an extremely high burning temperature, and thermite needs about 1500 to 2500 to ignite.
for the flash powder, refer to this website:
http://www.unitednuclear.com/flashpowder.htm
the magnesium powder can usually be replaced with aluminum, and vice versa
now, lets take a sheet of paper, slightly fold it in half so u keep the air pocket, and then put it in the middle of ur driveway. pour the flash powder in a circle with about 3" diameter. pour the thermite in the middle, covering some of the flash powder except on the outmost edge.
now take your little lighter, and light the paper all around... step a big further, and watch it burn!
or if u want, u could pack the thermite in a small container, then break the container and keep the thermite in a cylindral shape (if u want, use an empty push-pop), then light that... itll burn a lot slower and spit out a load of pure iron blobs... its amazing to do on someone else's driveway too... >

after the burning stops, take a stick and start poking at the hole leftover.... make it as big as possible!

after doing it over and over, i made a giant hole in my friend's driveway... now they cant park there lol
