i cant believe you got that many matchheads, and besides that would just flair up without that big of an explosion, a better bomb would jut be to get a chunk of the model rocket powder and tape it on a bic lighter you can even use the lighter to light the fuse

if you can get rocket engines why not use the pyrodex from those? a bit pricy yes but you could always steal them

Yeah, it'll explode...build up of gases and all that. It you do it right, it can be decently loud.

Take a foot of good quality exhaust pipe, not weak with rust. Squash one end flat and bend it over on itself. Fill it with gunpowder. If you don't know how to make your own gunpowder, you really shouldn't be messing with stuff like this. Squash the other end flat and bend it over on itself. Drill a 1/4 inch hole very slowly and carefully in the pipe. Cool the pipe first to absorb heat . Use a sharp drill and lots of oil to reduce heat buildup. Extract the fuse from an ordinary firecracker and insert it in the hole. Light the fuse and run like hell. Count your fingers. If you still have eyes to see them. This will demolish a four inch thick pine football goalpost. Trust me. So be a bit careful. Could be a waste of fouteen years. You'd probably be safer playing chicken on a freeway.

Ahhhh, the greatest plan ever! Fill one of the most heat sensitive materials on earth, with highly combustable powder, go ahead and cause massive friction [friction=heat] so as to kill yourself. Are you really THAt stupid? Even if I was to make this shitty as fuck bomb [which I wouldnt] I would at least have the brains to DRILL THE HOLE FIRST! GOD YOURE STUPID!

Want a simple yet effective bomb? As well as one thats pretty fancy, to impress your little friends?

Buy/steal a travel style alarm clock [must run off of at least 1.5v ide say], some model rocket engines, any type of led, and a radio shack project box. {get a small one!]

Cut open your rocket engines, making sure to place the in a vice so as the ends of the rocket face left to right. This way if you saw to fast or whatever, and it sets off, you'll be pretty safe. Also place it in the center of the vice. Then, get all the explosive material from inside, and crumble it into the RS project box. Do this with all your engines, until the box is full, or filled to the desired hieght. If you wanna top it off with low cost material, yuou can use matchhead powder I suppose, its up to you really.

Then, take the lid to the box, and dont attach it, but drill a SMALL hoel in it. Big enough to fit a rocket engine ignitor. Once youve done that, open up your clock and cut off the speaker, then set the clock to go off in a minute, and hold the led agaisnt two of the wires [most speakers have three] fiddling witrh it, until you find the right two, that cause the led to light up when the clock reaches the alarm time. Then test it with one of the ignitors, making sure it puts enough power on the speaker to ignit the ignitor.

Once its all tested and well, and the ignitor goes off okay, screw the lid onto the project box CAREFULKLY and TIGHTLY, and stick your ignitor into the powder through the whole. Then use some rubber cement or soemthing [not hot glue! nothign hot!] to seal it off. [make sure the wires stick out some of course] Then before connecting the clock, set the correct time, and then set the alarm for the explosion time.

Make sure to give yourself enough time to get the the detonation point youve pre-selected. Then connect the speaker wires to the ignitor, and tape the clock to the box. You can tell all of your friends its a time bomb, and when they dont believe you, tell them its gonna go off at, lets say 6:00. Then goto the detonation spot, and get far back, and show off to all your fancy little friends.

Keep in mind Ive never doen this but it seems logical. Also keep in mind it wouldnt be a KILLER bomb. I think those project boxes are made of thick plastic, but if youre looking to be the koolist kid on the block its your best bet!

Ok Kiddies here's another fun little project. Go to your local gun show and procure a 37mm Rocket propelled signal flare for around 10 bucks US. The tube is 40mm in diameter and about 15" long. It has a 1000 foot lift and a 100,000 candle power flare tha is parachute attached. Remove the tube assembly carefully, upon examination you wil find a very nicely crafted rocket capable of lifting quite a payload. Remove the Flare and parachute and replace it with a good FLASH mixture
70% Potasium Perchlorate & 30% Fine Aluminum. There are many burst and flash formulas out there. Reassemble and launch via the shotgun primer degsiginated method. Your efort will be rewarded by lots of OOOO's and AHHHH's I have been toying around with a more horizontal method for launching a device like this but that would just be plain dangerious?
