Hello all, I've been messing with the American lock for days, and i cant figure out how to open it, I've read how to open it from the inside, but on the back, I'd like to know if there is any way to pick that lock. I see that you have to push the one part down, but i dont know what to do from there. Thanks.

What kind of lock is it?
Is it like a desk drawer lock or a in-knob lock(door lock).
Is there any retaing pins or screws?
When you look inside the keyway do you see pins or 'bars'?

Be warned if you get it apart you may not get back together.

It's a lock, like on of the one's you'd put on your locker, theres a little place to put a key in the back, and it has one thing to push down, thats all i can see
