I've been think in about rippin those blockbuster video ppl for for a long time, just recently however i started to plan and scope the place out. I figure i can grab about 20 games or dvd's or whatever and takeoff, HOWEVER...

I'd strongly appricitae and info from any current of former blockbuster employies about...

1.wheather it's their store policy to case after shoplifter or just call the police rite as they see them

2. Is there like an unlocked back door or any other possiable exits.

3. Alarm system (i know for a fact their alarms and tags do work) but is there any way around them. Also what about those protected cases they put their dvd's in??? whats the easiest way to break them???

And for all the pro shoplifter's...
what do u think is the best way to get the shit???

bring a bacpac and stash all the shit in it then just like run out, and not care about the censors going off??

break the packaging shit and just take the discs and TRY to remove all the alarm censors? and try to walk out all kool and casual????

just rent the shit you want and never return it. simple as that.

That's how I got most of my movies. I got accounts at alot of different rental places and never return anything. They'll threaten you with lawsuits and then have collection agencies send you a bunch of letters, but that's about it. If the collection agency puts it on your credit report just challenge it and it will get removed since they won't take the time to send the necessary paperwork to the credit agency.

For enough loot, something can be said for just putting on the ski mask and bringing in the backpack.

If you're going to get enough stuff from this to make it worthwhile you aren't going to be able to be slick about it. Pocket one game, maybe. Pocket thirty? I don't think so.

You'll have to do a blitzkreig sort of thing, here: Bring a bag, bring a bat, bring a mask. If possible, never return to the same store again.

you know right before the doors the got those censor things well if you lift your item just over the top of the censor it does not go off but you have to be a little creative on this because it looks kinda weird if your walking out of the store with your hands above your head


i say the easyist way is to walk in just before closing with a ski mask tie the guy up take his keys steal the survalance video and voice recorder under the counter (if any) if your parinoid wear gloves (laytex are the best) then basicly raid the place of its goods

So they have you on tape. Huzzah. That's what the ski mask is for. Grab, run, get out of dodge. That's the only feasible way to do it.

If you go into a place with a ski mask and a bat/gun/knife/big stick there's a good chance one of the people in there will be able to fuck you up or a cop will be driving by. Is a few movies and games worth going to jail or getting shot? Shoplifting will get you a few weeks and some probation, armed robbery gets you a little bit more. I know video games are expensive but be realistic.

Blockbuster uses two videotape recorders. One is under the counter, and one is locked in the back.

YOU GUYS ARE ALL STUPIDS, just rent the shit, bye a CD burner, and download a program to bypass the encryption on the ps2 or DVD, for movies, get two VCRs and record the shit, i do that to all the movies i like, i must have like every one of there games and movies/DVDs, (then i sell them to my freinds for ca$h) LALALA thats all dude, invest alittle, but it pays off, with no risk

Oh also, i just though of this, its probly all ready out there but, wait in line at a movie store, (that they have to tell the cashier there name and phone number), listen up!, go to a diferent blockbuster, rent alot of stuff, (not to much, as to not be suspicus) then your fucking home free, make sure to keep your head away from the cameras, but not to be suspicus about it though

Acid you have never done that before. Well atleast not in the past 10 years. Blockbuster will be able to tell if you did it. It fucks their movies and dvds up. Ever rented a movie that was staticy? Well thats what happened.... someone tried to record it. The customer will complain and blockbuster will see who rented it last and your ass is busted.

Read the thing about the master keys, you could steal some worth while shit with THAT thing

They use the same shoplifting tags as Target, Wal-Mart etc. Just use a shoplifting bag with tinfoil, since that seems to work for everyone else.

I entirely fail to see how recording a tape will damage it.

The bad movies you rent were either bad to begin with, handled or stored improperly, or played repeatedly though a very dirty VCR.

i thought about destracting the person workin but during the day there are three or four ppl there and at night there are 2 ppl, one person workin cash or whatever and the other person stocking shelves.

The "shoplifting Bag" dossent work for shit as far as i'm concerned.

Keep in mind I never said this was a good idea in the first place. You could just as well steal something much more valuble and hock it, using the cash to legitimately buy whatever else you wanted...

Hmmm... how about you place the videos/cds under your hat? If you're tall enough, the alarm wouldn't go off cause the videos/cds are placed above the two boards that scan you... or at least that's what I think. Never tried it though, so don't take my word for it - ask around. Is anyone here familiar with that system by any chance?

even if copying the videos/games does make them saticy, record them as soon as you get them. Then return them the same day saying there is too much static, then you look like the victim and they pull up the last innocent guy to rent it and his ass get's busted. It only needs a small bit of acting skill to work.

If you really hate blockbuster so much, burn one of their stores down or something. I used to do a lot of shoplifting some time ago but stopped cause IT REALLY DOESN'T GET YOU ANYWHERE. Shoplifting is for loosers. You can download the games and the movies from the net, so why steal them?
