You could say this is just a base idea, there's many other ways to obtain people's pin code. If you don't like to do it to old people, fine, take some other victims. If you don't like to phisically threaten people, fine, do it some other way. You don't have to do it exactly the guy says. Actually, this topic is a lot brighter than i would think of Elusive.
