Re: dissolving locks
I dont think the locks could be dissolved... try using acids, but I would recommend you to pick them....

Re: dissolving locks
There's a difference between 'dissolving' and 'burning to a toasty crisp', methinks. Still, concentrated hydrochloric might do it. Bear in mind that concentrated acids are not something you will easily obtain and certainly aren't anything you want to be playing with.
I'd suggest blowing the lock up, personally, but time and noise requirements may make that impossible for you.

Re: dissolving locks
If you can't even identify such an acid by name and where to get it you are not smart enough to be playing with it.
Get yourself a pair of bolt cutters.

Re: dissolving locks
I doubt you'll be able to obtain this, but luckily for me I am. Try and get some liquid nitrogen, but be careful with it for fuck's sake. Coat the lock in it, and a hammer+screwdriver will shatter the fucker into little pieces.

Re: dissolving locks
Freon canisters for recharging air conditioners are rumored to have a similar effect.

They also make your lungs cllapse if you happen to breathe any of the chemicals in.

Re: dissolving locks
That is quite possible due to the fact that the 'puke' will contain acid from the stomach, which is no less than concentrated hydrochloric acid. Only a small amount but it's perfectly feasible. C_c.

Re: dissolving locks
I once found a small rubbish bag full of those little liquid nitroge guns they use to remove warts (some one had broked the sterile seal on them all..... they probably wanted them and i took em). Anyways you cant use these even if you have them because there is not enough to freeze a whole lock. It was fun freezing peoples cokes tho...

Re: dissolving locks
after you bust the lock, make sure you replace with the same looking lock, so it would take them time before the original lock was busted.

Re: dissolving locks
If you don't destroy the lock then theirs less chance of being caught and more chance of not burning all the layers of skin off your hands, ever though it is awfully tempting to smash shit whenever given the chance. Idon't mean to pry but whats inside the locked object obviously somthing you want bad enough to go through all of the trouble to get liqiud nitrogen or acids. picking the lock will be quicker and will attract less attention.

Re: dissolving locks
The Hydrochloric acid from your stomach is strong enough to burn a hole through carpet but not enough to eat metal.
Your saliva and what you have eaten/drank dilute the acidity of your vomit, otherwise it would burn out your esophagus like liquid drano the first time you puked.
Ever seen anyone get puked on? They don't melt down, if they did it would be the ultimate defence, vomit-fu.

Re: dissolving locks
I apriciate the spirit of advice but i was thinking more along the lines of ways to get past those locks that they have on those outdoor vending machines. And i would not like to vomit on them.

Re: dissolving locks
If its one of those kind they use a simple padlock on then I would bust out with the crowbar and take it out with leverage + all your weight + momentum on it.
There are techniques for hitting up soda machines, they have this T style lock bar that intersects off to the left and if you get on top of the machine you can pry open the top and bust it and the lock is then supposed to release. I read that somewhwere off the net bit I don't know if it will work or not.
Have to get someone in here that has hit up vending machines before successfully.

Re: dissolving locks
I think I know what you are talking about. Do you mean putting clay or putty in the keyhole and then putting in a random key and turning it?

Re: dissolving locks
I did that with putty before but I left the key in there while the putty was wet. (I didn't do it to I vending machine though.)
