The only way to "pay attention" to yuor kids in these days would be to monitor their every activity by reading their journals (if they have one) and installing monitoring devices on the computer (which my mom has done but i am actually smart enough to find that shit). People can hide how they feel about the world anyways. If we started trying to see which kids are going to snap and which arent then im sure a lot of people who arent going to shoot up their schools will be thrown in jail for being a potential school shooter. Its not too easy to stop a crime from happening, we can only punish people for the actions they have already commited.

Not to add more to this seriously fucking long thread but I though I'd post on why I'm not in school now.

1.Anger problem, people get psycho and beat the shit out of other people, that's what I have though since I've been out of school it hasn't been an issue, interesting...
2.My friends, all in either art classes or my types, reading the totse boards and files for the fun of it.
3.I can make up good lies when in the principal's office.

Ok, so this is what happened, my friend Neal set some napkins on fire and put them in one of those stone jacketed garbage cans that was placed about 50 feet from the nearest buildings (it was in the commons area, outside lunch and such) anyway he comes over giggling to me and my other friend Ken and tells us about it, we see the principal Mrs. Kawasaki (yes I'm serious, a bitch too) sees the smoke and runs back to the office.
For some damn reason I didn't belive it so I walked over to the can thinking it was just a smoke bomb and kicked it over, the lid came off and some small pitiful flames (imagine a stick sprayed with barbecue lighter and lit, small ok?) and Kawasaki runs out, drags me into her office.
She comes in and starts asking me questions. "Do you like setting things on fire?" "How long have you been fascinated with fire?" "What caused your reach for attention?" "Is this another part of your "person" trying to get out?" All this in one minute with my answers being "No, No, No, No." So she persists (I forgot this was the day after Columbine so...) while visions of grandeur of being able to catch one of these "angry youth" types before I could do a thing.
So after her panties were wet from visions of grandeur she called in some "counselor" to ask the same questions over in a more politically correct manner. All this taking place for about 2 1/2 hours while my parents wait outside. Kawasaki goes outside to tell my folks "Just a second, @#$%^ is about to tell us about his DARKSIDE." later my dad said he thought "Is this school fucked up enough it has my son thinking he's gay???" I laughed when I heard that but back to the story.
My parents finally get in the room, first thing Kawasaki says is "Your son is going to have to take a full psychiatric examination before he can resume classes here." and my dad's first response was "Excuse me (counselors name here) can I see your credentials???" the counselor had none so the end discussion was I'll end up in homeschooling and a week later Kawasaki phoned up asking if we've scheduled an examination and my dad said, LOL, "It's not your fucking business, he's out of your school so you have no business calling us at our house now." So for the last couple years I've been working with my dad (treework, chainsaws, stumpgrinders, oooooh yeah ) in the real world and just now got into college, and the government is paying for it since it's Running Start.
