This past weekend a few of my friends and i went "shopping." we found that the best way to break a car window is with a small, high caliber, hand-held pellet / BB gun. it will shatter the window with almost no noise at all.

get that black rock shit out of spark plugs and try throwing it up against the window, see what happens.

That won't work because it hasn't got enough mass and you can't possibly get enough velocity behind it by throwing it. It's a myth. I've tried it.

High powered pellet guns work well (especially when loaded with BB's instead of pelletes) as do towel wrapped baseball bats.

The reason hand-held BB guns work really well is because you can take the window out from a fair distance away. We usually park about a half block away and hit it from there. That way you arent seen carrying a baseball bat accross a parking lot, swinging it and shattering a car window. Sometimes we do a "drive-by" and take the window out while driving by. very inconspicuous.

I'd Use a very, very HIGH TECH and complicated way of smashing a window. No Average Joe will be able to pull threw with fowling these extremely complicated instructions on breaking a window. Let me Begin...

Maybe if you're using a spark plug for a jet engine. There simply isn't enough mass behind the ceramic part of a spark plug to break a car window. You may or may not be able to do it by throwing the whole plug at it, but not with some pea sized chunk of ceramic.

I'm sorry, but it's a myth. Go try it for real and then tell me why.

duct tape the window...then throw the porcelain(sp?)

1. Use a glass cutter (make sure it can cut about 1/4'' (It will be listed when you buy it)

2.After cutting a decent size oval circle, put duct tape over the area.

3.Use a rubber mallet or ball tipped utility and tap along the lines you made, if this wont work (it should loosen it to where it will fall out or crack in that one radius)

if all else fails...punch the center of the oval with something padded (boxing glove?something wrapped in a towel?)

It should work well enough to no create too much noise (Definetly not as much as throwing a big rock through it?lol.)

The best thing to use is a spring loaded center punch. All you do is push it against the window and it shatters the it with basically no noise. They use this method in road rescue because of the ease and lack of noise. Get them from hardware shops try it they are fuckin great.

Yea, I've seen those things...They make a ton of vibration that it just shatters it completely ?

The reasdon I said to cutt the window, is cause cars have alarms to detect glass vibration, but I think that if a car has a glass vibration detector, it also has a prerssure detector, so I guess it useless. Braking the window or cutting it will turn on the alarm on.

lol also those centerpunch things are used to break the glass when your car is in water and sinking, this would probably be the best method...but dont forget about the car alarms

Well, mucking with the glass in the windows on an alarmed car is a bad idea no matter what kind of tool you use.

there are ways to stop the alarm, i heard something about you break the window then quickly go in the dashboard or something and cut a certain wire, the alarm will only go off for a split second if your quick.

Split second? Tell me, how fast do you think you'd be able to crawl through a windowful of broken glass to remove the dashboard from a car, find the alarm wire, and cut it?

If I were to go about any of this business I would disable the alarm from the outside of the car first, by whatever means possible, and then worry about breaking in.

why not disconnect the battery this way the alarm does not go of if this does not work fry the fuse box

Fucking amatures. ^There is only a few ways to do over cars sucsessfully. You can either be a little fucking punk, not take the car, just rip the system, maybe the mags and interior, or you can take the whole damn thing and strip the fuck outta it or rebirth for a legit new car.
To get around the alarm you have to carry a spare car battery and burn it out. Cutting the power to the alarm will be useless as all alarms these days have backup power and wont stop sounding. You need to pry the bonnet real quick + to - on the terminals and blow the alarm out. Just muck around with your own car until you get it right. Then just tear the ignition barrel out and break the steering lock. your out of there in a matter of minutes.

Not alot of alarms have cabin ultrasonics! The reason to climb through the window is the majority of alarms detect entry by voltage drop caused by the interior light or are wired to the switch on the doors that activate the interior light. So if you break the window and the alarm does not sound this is more than likely how the alarm activates!!!

At the very least you're going to have to put your arm through there to unlock the door, but consider that post a figure of speech. Even if you ripped the whole blasted door off, how fast can you cut the dashboard off and cut these magical alarm wires of yours? I still say you go for the alarm first if you intend to steal the car. If you just want the contents of the car you can just smash-and-grab, of course.

who cares if the alarm goes off if u cant here it slide under the hood and find the horn for the alarm system and cut the wires should work unless the alarm uses the factory sterio system

if absolute noise is a must, get duck tape and tape the window cosswise and use the spring loaded center punch., then push the window in, the glass wont be shattered all over the place and you won't have glass on your ass when you sit down. if you do bust one of the windows use one of the smaller ones if the car has them. if it;s winter and you happen to drive past a cop, he'll wonder why you're driving with the window open in 30 degree weather.

use a window puncher thing, but b4 put duct tape in shape of an X on window...the break it so glass deosnt go everywhere.....
