Lately when i steal from local stores, i will use any comp store for example. I'm forced to open up the box take the cd out stuff it away and walk out. All of this takes time, makes noise, and draws attention. I was wondering if anyone out there knew how to remove the magnetic bar code or nuetralize it so it would not go off when exiting thru the sensors of the store. One idea i had was to rap the box in tin/aluminum foil, but it seems to me it would draw far too much attention. If anyone knows how to remove the magnatism or whatever it is so it wont go off, I would greatly apreciate it.

Doesn't your local bestbuy have bathrooms with NO CAMERAS watching the entrance like one near me does? I'm sure you can find a store where it's easy if you try. And when you find one, don't bother with cds. 2 80-gig hard drives will easily fit in the same box as something much cheaper. Or perhaps 4 or 5 geforce-4 cards in the same box... it's pathetically easy.

look in the bad ideas section of this site, look for the file on a "magic bag". I dunno whether the thread on this file by tek is still around but try and find it.

you could also try swiping the bar code with a strong enough magnet.

umm i checked ur magic bag thing and coulndnt find anything and i also couldnt find any other posts to do with this. so if u could direct me to a certain title or link i would be very happy.

Ok the entire magic mrker idead is BULL SHIT what you do is just have the cd in your shirt and just lean up on the demagnitizer, many excuses are your looking for a trash can or just have them hold your skateboard and say your leaning over to grab it........

~some bathrooms have sensors by the doors for just this reason. i dont think bestbuy does, but i think either way its a better bet to do it outside the BR cause if some1 sees u ull kno on the spot and be able to run. maybe go into the bathroom after u got the goods secured to make sure all alarms are off (assuming the bathrooms dont have sensors). i just think if somebody sees you goin into a bathroom w merch they mite get suspicioos and b watchin and ready when u come out. just my experience.
