i just hooked my bass amp up and want to lie it on its back under my desk. i was wondering if this will fuck it up in anyway, i will only rarely play it with any great volume most of the time ill have it at a pretty low capacity of what it can produce. any advice would be welcome thanks - lae

Re: bass amp on it back
It might overheat, amps need air. Besides that, I don't think you'll have many problems unless its a really cheap amp. Upright is always best though, I'd change the position if I were you... but since I'm not, I'll just finish this sentence and hope you do.

Re: bass amp on it back
if you put it speaker facing up it could put some excess pressure on the cone from the weight from the magnet. over time this could be a problem so i would just stay upright or move it to another room.

Re: bass amp on it back
i dont know how many watts it is, it came from a member of my dads old band. it does the job it needs to anyways with both volume setting at 2/10 its loud enough to be heard though out the house and by the time there both on 4/10 i think id be breaking some laws. ive decided not to put it on its back, im going to cut the back of my desk away and sit it there. - lae

Re: bass amp on it back
If its a tube amp, you definately don't want it like that. Tubes are meant to be upright.
