Default Moby Attacked!

http://www.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/Music/12/13/moby.attack.ap/index.html

BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Techno artist Moby was attacked by two men while signing autographs outside a nightclub following a radio station-sponsored holiday concert, police said.

According to police and witnesses, Moby, whose real name is Richard M. Melville, was approached by the men about 1 a.m. Thursday outside the Paradise Rock Club. One of the men punched Moby in the back of the head and on the right side of his face, breaking the singer's glasses and cutting and bruising his face.

When two club security guards tried to stop the attack, the assailants sprayed a macelike substance at Moby, Moby's manager and the guards, and then fled, police said.

Moby, 37, declined medical attention.

The assailants said nothing during the attack, and the motive is unknown, said Paradise manager Jeff Marshall.

During the concert, Moby, a self-described pacifist, had spoken out against aggression and violence.

He wrote on his Web site that he is not angry about the attack, just mystified about the motive. He has asked the attackers to post an explanation.

"And if anyone sees me in the next couple of weeks and I have some big bruises or stitches on my face, well at least you know why," Moby wrote.

Moby is electronic music's first bona fide superstar. His 1999 album, "Play," sold 10 million copies. For the past two years, the Connecticut native has headlined a touring festival that has featured guests such as David Bowie.

If I crossed Moby on the street I would think of him as the kind of person who has no friends, sits at home and talks to himself while searching porn on the internet.

How he became famous I don't know. I've only heard one of his song "We are all made of stars" and it didn't seem that great to me.
Just felt like writing my opinion on Moby.

Anyway, I do hope he gets better.

Definately NOT one of his best songs. But he does have some very good ones. Check out some of the songs on 'Play'.

oh junglist, you are so funny. Sit down.

I think Moby is HIGHLY overrated. That song "We are all made of stars" really blew hard. Have I given him a listen? Yes, and I think it's not that great. And I'll withdraw my statement because nobody is allowed to be attacked, well, unless it's for a good reason. And since the attackers didn't have a good motive, cept maybe for his shitty music =) it wasn't deserved.

fuck, i dont know any of the dude's music. i dont pay enough attention to mainstream pop crap like him and eminem to know whats goin on in their crappy fake as lives. all i know is that he didnt deserve to be beaten up. if making crappy music was grounds to be beaten mercilessly then the streets of LA would run red. LordJugz is just a retard with eminem nut dripping down his chin.
