Re: Hip-hop's grim undertones
what the fuck! This is not racist, it is known that some rappers (i.e Busta Rhyme) has acknowleged ties with the Five Percenters. The anti-white lyrics are right there! How can you call it racist if you don't like that these artists are being called to the carpet on their lyrics. If you don't have enough gumption to think for yourself and see that it's not ok for blacks to hate whites, you are as bad as those on the opposite spectum. As for the author being racist, how many jewish writers do you know to be racist? If you want racist, read this: http://www.amren.com/wichita/index.htm we all heard abot James Byrd being dragged to death behind a pickup truck in Texas. It was national news for weeks. However, a quadruple homocide, multiple rape crime of this type does not even make the five o' clock news? Political Corectness is fucking up our nation.

Re: Hip-hop's grim undertones
oh shut up reluctant. You don't have any evidence to back up your claims, rape/homicides happen all the fucking time, and usually it isn't to white people. The fact is that the media in this country LOVE to sensationalize the image of the "dangerous black man". It scares people and sells the news.
and I have yet to see the account on the amren website quantified to be factual instead of the usual racist propoganda shit that spews out of that pathetic organization...

Re: Hip-hop's grim undertones
i just like it for the positive message it spreads. G. so what if its real, or if its how they think they have to be? what good can come out of spreading negativity? what does eminem intend to accomplish by encouraging violence and disrespect towards women? a new world order? a revolution? of what? wife beaters? its all a fucking gimmick anyway, the only real goal at hand is lining his pockets and bank account, gaining noteriety that wont last long, and thinking that somehow hes bucked the system. i bet he sits at home laughing at all the little suckers lapping his records up like a kitten at a milkbowl. i could care less if theyre racist or not, it doesnt matter to me, because i dont want to associate with any of them anyway. life is about more than guns, hoes, and smokin blunts. what makes me laugh is that i bet more than half of the rappers know this, they still talk about it because its making them rich and makin little white kids around the world wanna be gangsta. play the race card all you want, my issue is something much different. and dont try to be tipper gore and throw metal into this. sure some of it has a negative message, but most is cryptic and metaphorical, and its nowhere near as mainstream as gangsta is. look at the billboard charts for proof. quote: Angela Young, A&R coordinator at J Records Initially when I heard the news I was devastated, but not as shocked as I expected I'd be. My response was a strong indication that hip-hop culture has been desensitized to senseless death.
positive effects all around, id say.
