i was really wondering what you guys thing is the hardest song to play? i still think the solo and most of metallica's "one" is fucking crazy i got the really fast pick tapp part down but after that its bullshit
and some of the stuff santana have is pretty hard

i used to think classical gas (mason williams) was very hard, but i eventually got it down really well.

whats up with led zeppelin's "going to california". the acoustic part throughout the whole song, it sounds great, but i cant figure it out. im sure its not even that hard to play. its two guitars, right? but i can barely destinguish between them. bah, i gotta start taking lessons.

When you say hardest, I assume you mean hardest that you actually know how to play, so....

I'd have to say No Boundries by Michael Angelo...

Theoretically I can play it, but its too fast for me to play it all at once. And the guy plays so damn smooth....jesus.

the 2nd guitar solo from comfortably numb by Pink Floyd has always been hard for me, its probly not for other people but it definitely is for me...not the gay ass one, the one after that that sounds all...lonely, it starts at 4 minutes and 30 seconds in, its great but i could never play it... i try and try...and then i give up because im stupid!

i lot of SRV songs are almost impossible
first of all, actually play the song at his tempo is hard
but more importantly, his tone is so amazing, itz so hard to figure out where to pick the strings, wut pickup setting, tone setting
and he changes it in between songs

Karl, i had the joy of going to a pink floyd cover band on sunday.... they encored with an extended comfortably numb, and he played that solo note for note... made the hairs on my neck stand up, they sounded just like floyd, and the wailing guitar... man... it was beautiful.

idk i dont have any problems with vai i just learned lenny yesterday..thats a good song.

yea most vai isnt to hard for me..ever tried the one solo? its impossible to play clean i can play really slow so it sounds like shit

Must just be one of those things, I find the One solo to be pretty easy myself, while some Steve Vai songs I find VERY difficult. Well, the main parts of Steve Vai songs are easy enough, but often the solos get a little too fast (mostly the picking, I do legato stuff much better).

I've been practicing the guitar duel from crossroads, sounds great but what a bitch to play clean!
