I am tired of new school punk such as blink 182, sum 41, NFG, and all those gay new bands. i hate all these new school bands and its not all there fault i think its because the fans of them say they are punk and it just spreads out. I think its annoying!!!

How right U are. Pop punk is fuckin retarded! They all need to listen to some real shit like GG Allin and Anal Cunt. As for the Vandals, they were good when Stevo was singin, now they are pop-punk and do not appeal to me like the original Vandals.

i personally like anti nowhere league, operation ivy, subhumans, propaghandi, conflict, rancid, dead kennedys, minor threat and whole lot more i think they were great but there are new bands that are starting to sound good, ive been listening to kid dynamite, they seem pretty good, anti flag is alright and then theres casualties and bad religion so theres still hope out there.

I love NFG and i think there awesome live.

As for old school and new school i dont really care which is better - there both awesome.

man i remember the last big punk topic. it went on for a long long time. but anyway. its all opinion; if you like the new shit then you like the new shit and vice versa. i dont really like anti-nowhere league but all the other bands you listed i enjoy. and about any decent band will be so much better live.

yea, I hate mxpx just listening by myself but i saw them live and i thought they were pretty cool cause they had a good mosh and they were exciting to watch. I think almost anyband can be awesome live no matter if its new punk, old punk, metal, or whatever.

I'd just have to say as long as it's good music, it's good. I'm new school punk, but like alot of old school.

If you think about it, your old school was new school to someone else once, too.

well i like alot of new school bands that sound like oldschool. Like The Unseen. But theres not many of those so over all i would say i like the olderstuff.

the only new punk thats good that ive heard is a local band called the cuntfucks theyre one of the best punk bands ive ever heard too

I don't really care whether is new or old cause both of them got some kick ass bands. But yeah New Found Glory sucks, well at least i don't like them. But fuck man don't go spreading a bad name for all new punk bands, cause like RejectJc said "there is still hope out there."

However I am gonna have to agree with you that old punk kicks fucking ass. With bands like Anti-Nowhere League, UK Subs, Dead Kennedys, The Misfits (With Danzig), The Adicts, Aus Rotten, Oxymoron etc... How could you go wrong?

New punk sucks because it is a mass-marketed commodity, geared to the listening pleasure of the lowest common denominator, and is hence not punk at all. It's not really the way it sounds in and of itself, its just that the mainstream is listening to it. Jocks and ten year olds with pink hair have made "punk" something very different than it used to be IMHO.
