IRC sometimes has some good file shareing ftp's. You'd have to be very very lucky to find any there though.

If you like win mx, just update the software and it will again connect to the server, I already ran into that problem. If you don't feel like doing that, I've had great success using Kazaa. I find it works better and it gives you an estimated download time on the search results screen which is a big help.

I just tried it out today, its very good.
Just kinda hard finding multiple sources for certain files. Plus it fluctuates from 100 gb to 9 gb in total files.

yeah, i installed it last night and so far im impressed. i like the fact that it searches the entire gnutella network and identifies what program the other users are using. its pretty fast too.

WinMX fans:

Download Napigator. It indexes OpenNap servers. Export the list, then import it into WinMX. I've searched through more than half a petabyte at once this way...

all your bass are belong to truxel!

and if you look at morpheus youll notice that its a direct rip-off of furthurnet. the lead developer from furthurnet started to help morpheus out, i guess he needed a project that would produce some $$. thanks, jamie for your work on furthurnet.
