I like Tool a lot, but I find the "hardcore" Tool fans even worse than Slipknot fans. I wore a Tool shirt to school one day, and two guys approached me, and began quizzing me on my knowledge of Tool, after discovering that I only owned one Tool album, they got really pissed, and threatened to kill me. :

whoa... what a bunch of crap.. i personally think that if you like a band, go ahead and wear a shirt.. you shouldn't have to know the guitarists brother's 1st wife's maiden name.. sheesh

thats horse shit, you can like a band without knowing their every detail inside out, I get the same thing here sometimes. Especially with Metallica fans.

seriously i put tool as my third fav band only behind rage and manson. The only thing that sucks about being a manson fan you have to do it in the closet so the goths or the jocks don't try to get you.

Previously I had a lot a respect for Marilyn Manson but it's all gone now and I find him the biggest joke of gothic rock with HIM and btw if you like gothic there is a fairly new band from Argentina called Vampiria with their album "Among mortals" which is the best album I've heard so far this year

Tool is such an amazing band that its almost an unexpected treat that they are as vital and important now as they have ever been. after all those years off, they still outdo anyone. i'm eagerly waiting to see them live, Oct 24 baby! btw. i read somewhere they were thinking of doing some kind of film in the vein of floyd's the wall. anyone know anything about this.
