does anyone here like his music? he himself is a complete tosser, but you can't really fault his music. some of his instrumentals are brilliant (like the resident evil theme, and 'seizure of power'(that track is perfect) from the soundtrack).

i like most of his music. my favorite song is mechanical animals. that image of "im a hand grenade that never stoped exploding" is so fucking vivid its sick.

favorite song would have to be the reflecting god tripped to it (well full last tour on earth cd) but that track stuck in my head as a watched him live from a birdeye view its been my fav of his ever since

in case u guys didnt know manson revolutionised rock music as much as kiss and mettalica.
He will not fit under a label and he has become a great artist over the years backed by many musical experiances. i couldnt name his best song because they are so many.

I love Manson, but I can't help but laugh at the above post. Manson revolutionary? Hell no. Pretty much everything he does, he's gotten from someone else.

Like I said, I love Manson, but its all a fucking act. He knows it, he admits it. Ever met the guy? I have. Backstage, was he spitting blood, sucking his own dick? No. He was laughing, having a good time.

And also, I can put him under a label very well. Goth rock. Its that simple. Elements of metal, industrial, and even grunge in there (very hard to see, but its there). And of course, rock.

And one more thing. How did Kiss and Metallica revolutionize music? For Metallica, there were plenty of other bands playing speed metal just like them, even before them. Kiss? They may have made costumes and big boots cool, but their music wasn't anything all that different then what was currently available. Hell, they did a fucking disco album. Thats sooooo revolutionary.

Manson is greatness... Okay so he is getting a bit mellow, but he up till AntiChrist (or maybe Mechanical Animals) He was just so great that it can make up for the past few years of badness. Afterall, every band has its bad songs and albums. I just hope the new album will go back tword more of the old manson we all know and love. His music seemed to go from Hateful and sick (portrait, antichrist) to sorrowful and depressing (MA, and holywood). I would say he has done good on most of the albums, espeshally if you could the last tour and Smells like children ones... he has like 2 (or one if you like MA) out of 6, so its not too bad for someone who has been around for so long.

OMG u think Manson is GOTH ROCK, his music sounds do not belong in the goth rock genre.

Anyway, i am a fan of Manson's music defintly, i loved Anti-Christ Superstar, one of his best albums in my opinion, i can't wait for this new album to come out.

Manson is pop-goth-shock-rock(a fucking 'o' in every fucking word).
When we look at the real definitions of the words we can hopefully all agree that he should be 'labeled' this.
If you mix your cliches in the right way you can get something considered new. First- Manson can't be original, no one can. If they are we'd all think they were total shit. Don't confuse this with all shit being original- its not. Anyway, Manson's philosophy doesn't exactly follow along the same lines as the one these little goth kiddies belive in. If I was Manson I think I'd start harvesting some of these kiddie-slaves and using them for something profitable. Like selling weapons to foriegn countries or selling cookies door-to-door.

Listen to some of his lyrics (or read his fucking autobiography) and you will see Manson is the farthest thing from a devil worshipper - a satanist is actually a LOT closer to a nihilist... somebody who doesn't believe in anything (including god or devil). I can think of numerous interviews on numerous occasions he has said how he believes he is his own god.

I thinks he is another brilliant trying to be the oversoul. I do think Holywood sucked more than any of his other albums, I hope his new one is better

everybody hear seems to love manson but hate hollywood. Well i love him, but i think hollywood was one of his better albums. I like depressing music more than angry music. He ignores god all together in HOllywood except for a few short mentions. I don't know why he is so opsessed with Kenedy all the sudden. Very weird fetish for a rockstar. Have you seen the coma white video. And on HOllywood there is 3 tracks about it. Freaky shit.

just because you like a certain type of music doesn't mean that your trying to be all hardcore. it means that you like the music. it doesn't mean that you like artist either. as i said, marilyn manson (the person or the image depending on how you look at it) is a complete tosser, but his music is great.
