I think that lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous is a damn good song.

gives me a sence of wellbeing wheras Prokofiev - dance of the knights gives me a feeling of empowerment and Kruder & Dorfmeister - Speechless just makes me feel kinna nice.

My Dad's Gone Crazy - Eminem, thats 3rd verse is so fuckin powerful.

Metallica's Nothing Else Matters is up there too.

'NIN - hurt' and 'NIN - a warm place', always brings me down.


and 'they might be giants - till my head falls off' puts me in a really odd mood when i hear it. i suppose its best described as depressed.

now i think about it, every nine inch nails song inspires a strong emotion in me. some obviously powerful ones like 'eraser' and 'even deeper' are just works of art that can completely change my mood quickly but the more pop-like (compared to the rest of NINs work) ones like 'where is everybody' and 'dead souls' still have tremendous power.

i suppose half the reason that they are so effective is the contiunuation of themes, like the 'pigs', 'throw me away', 'now you know' and 'slipping away'.

is this just me or is anyone else so affected by NINs music?

I can just jam to every NIN album...except the left side of The Fragile. Songs like The Frail, The Wretched, We're in This Together, and The Fragile really set me off, (Incidentily those are tracks 3, 4,5, and 6 ). There are others, but those are the main ones.

Hmm, Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd...kinda makes me feel down. Tonight Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins, and last but not least Black Hole Sun by Soundarden, the way that sound plays out kinda reminds me of how you feel on hydrocodone or oxycodone, just kinda...not there.

Yeah, NIN provokes some emotion in me, but i'd have to say KMFDM, Rammstein, and Metallica all make me feel either evil or depressed, depending on what songs. RATM brings me out of a mood like that. If i'm feeling really good already, Some techno makes it even better.

OMG...Nails sweet Nails. "A haer them call, I can not stay, the voice inviting me away" Sorry I just happen to be listening to "Even Deeper" N E Wayz, Trent Reznor changed my life in a way that is undescribable to me. Through his words my life became easier to bare and I honestly believe that the music made by the whole NIN team has been so important to me that I do not believe I would be typing this if I never heard NIN. I recently have become a college kid and when I moved into the dorm,the only music posters I brought with me were my 6 NIN posters.

What KMFDM songs make you feel evil? I can think of ones that make me feel angry (A Drug Against War), make me want to dance (Power), even some that feel slightly uplifting in a strange sort of violent way (Juke-Joint Jezabel).

Yeah, Moby's songs always inspire lots of emotions. You could listen to his most recent albums (Go and 18) straight together, and its like a rollercoaster, you're happy, then you cry, and its just...beautiful.

But, I have to say the best Moby songs (from the point of view of how much the make me feel things), are My Weakness, and God Moving Over the Face of the Water. No lyrics, but the music is so powerful.

a lot of third eye blind is depresingly comforting to me. i also feel alot of hate for religion when listenign to NIN. counting crows is kinda depressing. smashing pumpkins evokes so many different emotions depending upon the song. bob marley is fairly uplifting.
