Favorite House DJ??
OK, So who is your favorite house DJ/ performer (not producer), What about Breakbeat DJ?? and Drum N Bass DJ??? Lets try to keep it to two or three DJ's per genre. My favorite House DJ,s is likely Bad Boy Bill and Rabbit in the Moon, Fav. Drum N Bass DJ's are Craze, Klever and Danny The Wildchild, Breaks/2-step would have to Be DJ Casper and DJ Hyper. If you cant tell I like the turntablist DMC kind of DJ's alot, if you don't mix like a madman, you suck in my book!! So lets see how many of you guys actually listen to this stuff!!!

Re: Favorite House DJ??
Oh and people who really appreciate this music don't judge a dj if he doesn't mix like a "madman. It's all about a nice selection of tunes, a well programmed set, and how well the dj interacts with the crowd. Then again, if you're throwin' down cuts and scratches to a boomin' tech-house mix you're bound to get the kids jumpin'

Re: Favorite House DJ??
Good taste in tunes!! I was just saying I hate all the idiots who just do a quick crossfader mix and don't let the two records play at the same time. If I pay money to see a DJ, he better be doing something. House DJ's are different, but they still mix it up. I agree though, knowing how to play a crowd and track selection are really the most important things.

Re: Favorite House DJ??
when carl cox spins a house set it lights the place up. but i prefer his techno and tech- step sets, by far.
DnB is always ruled by Dara, IMO. of course AK1200 and dieselboy are topps. andy c has tight tracks, but every time i saw him live he seemed to be fuckin up.
of course, i havent socially been out in the party scene for a few years, these are just some of the DJs that i can still tolerate to listen to. Josh Wink still does it for me though, you gotta respect a stright-edge dj. his profound sounds discs is one that stays in the changer year-round. superb.

Re: Favorite House DJ??
Dara, Deisel boy, and AK1200 were all three just doing a "planet of the drums" tour recently, did you get to see that one??? I was lucky enough when they came through here. Definately an awesome show, they had MC's and the also had two guys scratching on another set of tables.

Re: Favorite House DJ??
there used to be a link around here to a picture of me at one of those shows from the 2001 tour, toasting a corona with dboy and j. that was actually the last "party" type gathering i was at. they have updated the page and i didnt find any photo archives from last years tour so i assume its off the web now. i know all four of them pretty well... (the fourth is j messinian, the mc)
i used to work in pittsburgh with some promotion companies, a few of my good friends still run companies and throw shows and parties up there. total x-perience productions, cloudbreak productions, efficient productions are all my old crew.
i got totally burnt out on it though, went back to my roots.

Re: Favorite House DJ??
Pretty small world Junglist, I'm pretty tight with Dara too, and definately got to chill for a couple of hours with deiselboy when he was out here last. I should have figured by your name you were into jungle and DnB
