I really like listening to music, i listen to a lot every day, but i'm in need of somehting new. I really like hardcore rock stuff, like Tool (they're my favorite), and i just stumbled upon a band that i really like a few days ago called Dimmu Borgir. Please give me some ideas of music i could get, thank you.

Dio, Blind Guardian, and Iced Earth. Those are my favorite heavy metal bands. Scorpions too man, Scorps rock. Look for some early van halen... but you want new eh... yea, try the 1st 3 i mentioned. I saw Dio in concert last night and they blew me away. Im seeing blind guardian later on this summer.

Have you ever been into the old shit? Why don't you try Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, etc. I used to love the hardcore shit, still do, but then I got into the old stuff. I love it. Try getting "We sold our soul for rock n' roll" by Sabbath. It's got all the best tracks, And I guaruntee(sic) that you'll love it.

I love all that old stuff like sabbath and led zeppelin and pink floyd. I'm not exactly looking for stuff that is brand new, i'm kind of looking for stuff that will be new to me. It doesn't have to be some big name badn coming out right now, i would like to hear 0lder shit too

Have you gotten into Phil Anselmo's bands, most notably Pantera and Down? Pantera embodies everything I love about heavy metal, and Down is just magnificent.

If you like black metal, Cradle of Filth is my favorite in that area. Phil also has a black metal band called Superjoint Ritual that I would highly recommend.

Cradle of filth is great, pantera is a must, and dimmu borgir is pretty good to

what are some good pantera and cradle of filth CD's to get started on? i've listened to a bit of each, but please tell me names of good CD's, etc.

All of Pantera's albums are kickass, but my favorite is The Great Southern Trendkill. It's like my battlecry. My favorite Cradle is the one about Elizabeth Bathory, I think it's called The Blood Countess, but my copy was printed in German (it said Die Blutgrafine).
