I recently read that the bassist of Sex Pistols, Sid Vicious, had no clue as to how to play the bass.
That is so wierd. That explains their raw sound. And by raw, I mean god awful tuneless crap.(heheh)

Thats true, a lot of times during the shows they would have to unplug him because he was so awful at the bass. Also their old bassist, Glen Matlock, who recorded most of the songs on the album actually knew how to play the bass but was kicked out of the band for admitting to liking the Beatles.
