When you first hear them, they even sound kind of similiar but if you know anything about them they're about as different as The Backstreet Boys and Marilyn Manson.

While John Lennon was singing All You Need Is Love, Mick Jagger was singing Guess My Name (for those of you who don't know that is a song where he proclaims himself as Satan).

I've been listening to The Stones a lot lately and I really think they're music had a lot more substance than The Beatles, and until Mick Jagger became the front man they're front man was better looking than John Lennon. Sorry, John Lennon was funky looking and so were the rest of the Beatles.

I just thought it was pretty interesting. An example of good and evil in the music industry.

i live in west london fairly close to where most of the stones live so all the pubs play stones pretty constantly so i got sick of them at about 19 years old still i have to say as tears go by and paint it back will be classics for all eternity, i think beatles probably edged on songwriting ability, but mick and co get the performance/style vote

The stones are one of the better bands of all time along with the doors, but they'll never get as much credit as the beatles because 1) It was drugy rock, which is bullshit and 2) the beatles then were like the backstreet boys are now. Sorta like now how Metallica (don't get all pissy it's just an example) is better then the backstreet boys in musical capabilities, the backstreet boys have the publicity
