Is Sid Barrett still alive, and is it true that there is a message for him on every album? I heard 2 messages on 2 albums--the last one was "Congratulations!You have discovered the secret message.Send your answer to old pink...that's as far as anyone I know has ever gotten. Does anyone know the truth?Thanx

Piper at the gates of dawn , was the first Pink album i ever heard, and the only one i ever really listen to. His solo stuff is very interesting but nothing like Piper.
As far as i know he is still alive, but theres lots of stories about what he now does. Ive heard hes constantly locked up in looney bin, but ive also heard he still lives in Cambridge and paints all day. And once he feels that a painting is finished he burns it.(Anyone know what this is called? Some sclptures build explosives in to there pieces then blow them up.)
Barret was a true artist, apparently at one of the early gigs Sid was way too loaded on acid and lais down on the stage just strumming his guitar with his right hand!
Pink were dreadfull after Dark side of the moon, Meddle was thier best album.

I really liked pipers at the gates of dawn, especially Lucifer Sam. But then nothing beats the Gnome.
