Would a cigarette filter at the end of a joint filter out any of the thc??? Ive had many joints like that and i still got pretty blazed but i just wanted to be sure.

dude a filter will "filter" out the thc so its a no go on the filter idea. but why not just smoke out of a glass pipe. you waste so much smoking joints.

a filter will filter some thc, though not usually enough to matter [well, not to me.]

i find it works better with hash instead of bud. [in the cig]

as for joints wasting smoke... meh?

with a piece you light the weed directly. direct flame. this will burn some of the THC
[and you won't get high off of this portion of THC, it's killed by the heat of the flame]
you also have some smoke exiting the bowl when it is being passed [unless you put it out between people, but i find this is annoying]
you will have smoke drifting off of the joint between people, but by the end you probably waste a hit or two's worth.

because of the vaporizing* action of the joint you will actually get more THC intake.

*the cherry will heat the rest of the weed in the joint to the right temperature of vaporization [~350-400F (?)] you will burn the weed that is cherried, but by this time the weed has already been "vaporized" and what is left is resinated plant material that still contains THC!

ive noticed too i can put the same amount of weed in a bowl as i do in a joint but get more hits off the joint

i like a bowl or bong when im trying to conserve. i usually roll about 5 bucks worth in a jay and get pretty high,but ive found that when i am alone i can get just as high off of one bowl from a waterpipe,thus using less bud.

in my mind bongs and bowls are much better than joints alone. however smoking joints or blunts to roaches and then smoking the roaches in a bowl is amazing.

id rather hit a nice bong for a while instead of passing a joint or blunt (however blunts do get me pretty fucked up)

just use this little vapourizer.. costs about 50 cents to make and gets you sky-high.

whats the point of the tube at the end?

I can attest to that vaporizer being good although mine is attached to a 20oz bottle. It uses up very little weed but you get so high.

I used to prefer bongs and peices but blunts and joints are so nice and so convienant (if its already rolled).

where's the hole that the air comes in with that vaporizer?

I just made sure the thing wasn't airtight. The airflow convects and allows you to draw in from the bulb.

The tube is to suck the air in.

that's a neat device, I made one this arvo, I wasn't sure so I drilled a small hole beside the tube in the lid, it works pretty good.

do you use a butane lighter or just a normal one?

i have this really pretty round lightbulb that has stars and moons on it that i want to use but, is there any way to get the fillament/metal end thingie off without hurting it?

butane as opposed to what? a zippo?
(use a normal-flame cigarette lighter)

to get the lightbulb off the base simply squeeze the brass screw end around the top most part *gently* with pliers. [be patient, work slowly!]

when you have gone around the brass part simply pull down and the filiment should come out with the brass part.

Well yeah, it might make you sick. I see what you mean by why use a filter at all, lol. I don't use a filter when smoking joints. I suggested this because the person wants to use a filter and someone mentioned chewing the filter.

if you want to use a filter [in a joint] use paper! [a bit of the cardboard off of the paper holder thingy will work well]

there are, however, times when you want to smoke in public and can't pull out a joint. [but you can pull out a cigarette]

well, if you cant afford to waste a little tiny bit of bud between every hit, then i pity the amount of money you have i love joints...there so conveinant....i used to luvvv bongs...but then i learned the art of rolling

i used a hollowed out cigarette with the filter when i didnt know ho wo roll. it did nt FILTER out any ofthe THC, i got just as high from it.

it did filter some THC out.

you just didn't notice because it's such a small amount.

I can use the lightbulb in my dorm room, and with a spoof theres little to no smell (as long as you stop toastng the weed after the thc is vaporized).

i wasnt thinking in terms of at all. of course it must have filtered out SOME of the THC, but as you said it probably wasnt enough to even notice

eating roaches is really nasty it makes your mouth sting from all the tar

How can you tell once the weed has been vaporized?

it'll turn brown
[or black, if you really toast it]

and it will start burning.
