I have read on erowid that kava can actually get u high. I'm thinking about going to Longs tomorrow and buying some... will it work? If so, how many do I need to take?

You can obtain the root on ebay if you want it that bad. But I would not fuck with this shit. It will kill your fucking liver in no time.

It doesn't kill your liver in "no time". Very few people have had liver problems with Kava, but it does happen. It is toxic to the liver, so I wouldn't recommend using it daily.
If you get a normal bottle and take four or so you will feel kind of tipsy and really relaxed...kava affects the brain in a similar manner to alcohol. I recommend smoking weed with kava, it takes away almost all of your paranoia.

yeah i read the liver thing in Time too. i eat 5 pills (you can buy em at albertsons), feels like eating tranqs (not as fun though, but nice and sedated.).
