I heard somewhere you can extract hydrocodone from tussionex syrup. Is this true and if so, how would you do that.. This is an experiment of course

i dont know if this is true but i bet its not because if the syrup is over the counter there is no hydrocodone in it

Unless you see hydrocodone in the active ingredients list, you will extract nothing of the sort.

actually there is guaifenesin/hydrocodone/chlormal(not sure on that last ones spelling). and its not over the counter, it is prescribed. and its acutally

oh thats different.......i thought you meant it was OTC........you could probably just do a simple acid/base thing.

Study a basic chem. book, it will tell you all about it.

just add an equal amount of ammonia(regular ammonia, not sudsy, shake it up to find out if suds or not) and shake it up for about 2-3 minutes and then add about an amount of lighter fluid equal to 15% the amount of syrup an shake for a good 8 minutes......let seperate and keep the lighter fluid layer(on top).....either take off the top with a turkey baster or put in a ziplock bag on an angle and snip a hole in the bottom and let the bottom layer drip out after seperation. allow to evaporate and you've got hydrocodone and maybe a little gummy residue from the lighter fluid, but its harmless.

I still remember when a couple members on Totse.com said I could extract hydrocodone from Acetaminophen (sp?) with water. There was also a report on Totse with the cold and warm water methods. I ruined 120.00 (american) worth of hydro's. GOD DAMNIT!
